Vice President Kashim Shettima has announced the disbursement date of the federal government’s N75 billion grant to small-scale businesses, with distribution scheduled to begin in January 2024. The initiative aims to support businesses nationwide with loans at a 9% interest rate, leveraging existing structures with the Bank of Industry for implementation. Additionally, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu previously allocated N125 billion to MSMEs under the Presidential Palliative Loan Programme in July.Accordingly, the government said N75 billion will be released to MSMEs across various sectors and N75 billion to manufacturers.
