1,The technical term for biting one’s own finger is “nail-biting” or “onychophagia.” It’s considered a body-focused repetitive behavior, which is a psychological disorder that involves repeatedly engaging in a specific physical action in order to cope with stress or anxiety. Nail-biting is quite common, especially among children and adolescents.
2,Homotherium, also known as the scimitar-toothed cat, was a genus of large saber-toothed cat that lived during the Pleistocene epoch. The name Homotherium comes from the Greek words for “same” and “beast,” referring to its similarity to another cat, Megantereon. Homotherium was a fearsome predator, with powerful forelimbs and massive canine teeth. Its long, curved upper canines were similar to those of a saber-toothed tiger. It went extinct around 10,000 years ago, likely due to a combination of climate change

2,Homotherium is an extinct genus of machairodontine scimitar-toothed cat that inhabited North America, South America, Eurasia, and Africa during the Pliocene and Pleistocene epochs from around 4 million to 12,000 years ago.[1][2] In comparison to Smilodon, the canines of Homotherium were shorter, and it was probably adapted to running down rather than ambushing prey.
