Analysing and Synthesis of Reading as a Concept Reading is both Arts and Science (Aramide, 2021). Reading is arts because it developed the capacity for creative and imaginative thoughts and capabilities of individuals, and science as it helps in development of the logical and critical thinking abilities and capabilities of individuals. Reading has the dimensions of science, technology, education, arts and mathematics (STEAM). The dimension of reading as science is found in the critical and logical investigation of words, alphabets and sentences for the purpose of development of information resources and knowledge to solve human problems (Science). Reading facilitate the connection and linking of alphabets and words for the construction and building of knowledge. (Technology). It also facilitate access into alphabets and words to access information for the purpose of construction, deconstruction and reconstruction of knowledge (Education). Reading enhances the access into alphabets, words and sentences for creative and imaginative production of information resources for knowledge expansion (Arts). And reading enables the use of alphabets and words in the correct value, measure and order to produce accurate information resources for knowledge production (Mathematics).
