1, Water is, indeed, transparent, meaning that light can travel through it without being scattered or absorbed. But the ocean appears blue because, as light from the sun enters the ocean, the red, orange, and yellow wavelengths of light are absorbed, while the shorter blue wavelengths are scattered and reflected back to our eyes. This scattering of light is known as “Rayleigh scattering” and is the same process that makes the sky appear blue during the daytime. The ocean appears even more blue when the sun is high in the sky, due to the way the light is scattered.
2,There are several factors that contribute to the blue color of the ocean. The first factor is the amount of dissolved and suspended materials in the water, such as sediment, organic matter, and microscopic plankton. These materials absorb or scatter light, which affects the color of the ocean. The second factor is the depth of the water. The deeper the water, the more light that is absorbed or scattered, making the ocean appear darker blue. The third factor is the angle of the sun. When the sun is low in the sky, the light is more likely to be scattered, making the ocean appear lighter blue.

1,The ocean is blue because water absorbs colors in the red part of the light spectrum. Like a filter, this leaves behind colors in the blue part of the light spectrum for us to see. The ocean may also take on green, red, or other hues as light bounces off of floating sediments and particles in the water.
