There are actually several species in the genus Homo, including Homo habilis, Homo ergaster, Homo erectus, Homo antecessor, Homo heidelbergensis, and Homo neanderthalensis. However, only one species in the genus Homo is still around today – us! Homo sapiens is the only living species of the genus Homo. We evolved from other species of Homo over the course of several million years.

The “out of Africa” hypothesis, also called the “recent African origin” hypothesis. It’s a theory about the origins of the Homo sapiens species. The hypothesis suggests that our species originated in Africa around 200,000 years ago, and then migrated out of Africa into other parts of the world. It’s based on evidence from DNA analysis, fossil records, and archaeological findings.

The deepest known point in the world’s ocean is the Challenger Deep, which is located in the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean. It reaches a depth of approximately 10,923 meters, or over 35,800 feet. That’s nearly 7 miles deep! No human has ever gone to the bottom of the Challenger Deep, but it has been explored by remote-controlled vehicles.
